Johnson & Laird and Rachel Gardner Managements joined forces in 2002 to provide the NZ film and television industry with a new breed of talent management.

Their philosophy is pro-active and creative representation for their exclusive clientele. Together they represent actors, directors, presenters, voices and writers across the board.

Johnson & Laird and Rachel Gardner Management are affiliated with agencies in Sydney, London and LA. Clients benefit from our staff experience in a range of business areas including sponsorship, publicity, entertainment law and journalism.
 

Rachel Gardner has worked in the media since 1991, when she moved to London. She has been a journalist, editor, producer and agent for a variety of companies - big and small - including the Financial Times and the BBC. She has a First Class Honours degree from University College London and a Masters degree from the London School of Economics. Rachel divides her time between managing her clients' career and developing her own production interests
 

Gervais Laird (BA, LLB, MComLaw (Hons), Barrister, Solicitor) is an experienced entertainment and media lawyer. He worked in private practice before moving in-house to New Zealand's largest production house and has been legal advisor to a number of New Zealand industry bodies. In 2000 he left for England where he worked for a large production and distribution company and then a major broadcaster. Gervais has returned to New Zealand and is a Senior Associate in the Auckland office of the top-tier law firm, Simpson Grierson.
 

Imogen Johnson has worked in the film & television and PR industries for ten years. She has been a senior actor & voice agent since 1998. For four years prior to this she was a PR account manager for a blue chip company in London. She has an Honours degree and a Masters degree in English and Art History
