New Zealand’s resident Shakespearean expert, Michael is recognised as one of this country’s best actors. An award winner many times over, including an Arts Laureate and ONZM both for services to film and television, he also directs and together with Jennifer Ward-Lealand, is part of the most powerful theatrical duo in New Zealand. A natural storyteller and avid reader of anything from ancient religion and civilisations to modern and science fiction, Michael is at home in front of the camera or microphone as debater, presenter and entertainer.
